A night tour offers a different atmosphere from a daytime ride. Listen to the wetlands after sunset and look for wildlife with your captain as you travel through the River of Grass.

Choose a 1.5-, 2- or 3-hour tour departing from our Tamiami Trail dock at 5334 FL-90. Select an available departure time when booking, and bring insect repellent and a layer suited to the evening weather. A sightseeing night tour is a separate experience from a dedicated python hunt.

Private vs. shared night airboat tours

On a private night tour, the airboat and captain are yours alone: you pick the night, the start time and whether you go for 1.5, 2 or 3 hours. Shared night rides, where you can find them, tend to run on set nights at a fixed time, and you ride with whoever else has booked. If you want to take your time, stop when the captain spots eyeshine, or simply keep the evening to your own group, private is the better fit.

Our night tours run outside Everglades National Park, along the Tamiami Trail, so your captain can legally bring you closer to wildlife than park rules allow. Closer still means respectful: we never feed, touch or chase animals. You’re also welcome to bring your own snacks and drinks. Meet at 5334 FL-90, Miami, FL 33185, unless we confirm another location. Arrive 15 minutes early; free parking is available. Wear comfortable footwear (flip-flops are fine) and bring insect repellent and a light layer suited to the evening weather. Secure loose belongings before departure.

Night tour questions

How long is an Everglades night tour?

Choose a 1.5-, 2- or 3-hour private night airboat tour. Prices are $450, $550 or $750 for the first two guests, respectively. Each additional guest is $60, and children 5 and under ride free. Departure times are subject to availability.

What's different about the Everglades at night?

Almost everything. After sunset the wetlands get loud with frogs and insects, the air cools, and the ride feels completely different from daytime, even on the same water. Your captain knows where wildlife tends to be after dark and will point out things you'd miss. Bring bug spray and a light layer for the evening air.

Should we choose a sunset tour or a night tour?

Choose sunset for the change from daylight to evening: golden light, colorful skies and photos. Choose night for the after-dark experience: sounds, darkness and cooler air. You pick the start time, before, during or after sunset. If you can't decide, a 3-hour tour that starts before sunset lets you see some of each.

Does a night tour include python hunting?

Is a night airboat tour OK for kids?

Yes. There's no age limit, our ear protection fits all sizes, and kids 5 and under ride free. The main question is bedtime. You choose the start time, so a 1.5-hour tour starting right after sunset gets little ones home earlier than a late start. Tell us their ages and we'll help you choose the right length.

What time do night airboat tours start?

You choose. We're open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so a night tour can start right after sunset or later in the evening. Tours run 1.5 hours minimum, or 2 or 3 hours. Tell us your preferred start time when you book and we'll confirm it.

Is a night airboat tour private, or will we share the boat?

It's private. Your group has the airboat and captain to itself, even if there are only two of you, and you choose the night, the start time and the length: 1.5, 2 or 3 hours. Most of our boats seat 6–7 guests, and bigger groups can book more than one boat.

Who will be our captain at night?

Your captain comes from our team of local captains, led by owner Captain Greg Mislow. Every captain is USCG-licensed and CPR and first-aid certified, and knows where wildlife tends to be after dark.
