Should we choose a road hunt or an airboat hunt?

Choose the road hunt, from $800, for a nighttime search along roads. Choose the airboat hunt, from $1,250, to head into the backcountry, where the search may involve islands and thick brush. The airboat hunt is physically demanding, so tell us about your group's fitness and experience when you book, and we'll help you pick.

Is a python hunt part of a normal airboat tour?

No. A sightseeing tour, even at night, is about the scenery and wildlife, not hunting. A python hunt is a dedicated search with its own timing, price and preparation. If pythons are the main reason for your trip, book the hunt. If you just want the Everglades, a private sightseeing tour is the better pick.

Why are pythons hunted in the Everglades?

Burmese pythons are an invasive species. USGS research links them to severe declines in native mammals in parts of the Everglades, so removing them is part of the wider management effort. Are we guaranteed to find a python?

No. Pythons are very well hidden, and every search is different, so we can't guarantee a sighting or a capture on any hunt. That challenge is part of the experience.
