Before reserving your Everglades fishing trip

Tell us whether your group is new to fishing or already has experience, which species you hope to target, and how much time you have available. We will discuss a suitable location and departure time for your outing. We target largemouth bass and peacock bass, and also catch lots of invasive species like cichlids and oscars. Catches depend on conditions.

All tackle and artificial bait are included, and your captain can get live bait at additional cost. Each angler needs a Florida freshwater fishing license; your captain can help you get it as the trip starts, or buy it beforehand on the FWC website. Choosing a half-day or full-day fishing trip

Choose around the time you want to spend fishing, your target species, and your travel plans. The half-day booking lasts four hours. Call to plan full-day hours and the meeting location.

For three guests, the four-hour starting total is $1,350, including the $100 additional-guest charge. Full-day pricing is confirmed separately. Transportation and any other agreed extras are separate.

Fishing trip questions

What fish can we catch on an airboat fishing trip?

Largemouth bass and peacock bass are the main targets, and you'll also catch lots of invasive species like cichlids and oscars. Tell us what you'd most like to catch and your group's experience level, and your captain will plan the spot to match. Catches depend on conditions, water levels and season.

Are rods, tackle and bait included?

Yes, all tackle and artificial bait are included, so you don't need to bring any gear. If you'd like live bait, your captain can get it for an additional cost; just ask when you book so it's ready when you arrive. Bring polarized sunglasses, a hat and sun protection for the day on the water.

Do we need a Florida fishing license?

Yes, a Florida freshwater fishing license is required. Your captain can help you get it as the trip starts, or you can buy it beforehand on the FWC website. Buying ahead saves a few minutes at the start, and having it on your phone or printed out on the day keeps things easy.

Do we need a fishing license to go frog gigging?

Usually not. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) says a recreational license isn't needed to take most frogs, including pig frogs and bullfrogs, as long as they're for your own use and not for sale. Rod-and-reel fishing is different: each angler needs a Florida freshwater fishing license. Rules can change, so check the FWC regulations FAQ before your trip (checked October 2026).

Half day or full day: which should we book?

The half-day trip is four hours for $1,250, and it's plenty for a first outing. The full-day trip is $1,800 and suits serious anglers who want more time on the water chasing largemouth and peacock bass. Tackle and artificial bait are included on both, and your captain can get live bait at additional cost.

Can kids come on a fishing trip?

Yes. There's no age limit, so the whole family can come. Four hours is a long time for small children, so tell us their ages when you book and your captain can plan an easier spot and breaks. The invasive fish we catch lots of, like cichlids and oscars, help keep kids busy between bass.

Do your fishing trips go into Everglades National Park?

No. Like all our airboat trips, fishing trips run outside Everglades National Park, along the Tamiami Trail. Your captain picks the spot based on what you want to catch and the day's water levels, and because we're outside the park, your captain can legally bring you closer to the wildlife you pass along the way.

What's the difference between a fishing trip and frog gigging?

A fishing trip is rod-and-reel fishing for largemouth bass and peacock bass, with all tackle and artificial bait included, as a four-hour half day or a full day. Frog gigging is a separate four-hour trip after dark: you ride the airboat through the sloughs at night and gig frogs, with the equipment and a professional captain included. Can we bring our own gear, food and drinks?

Yes. Bring anything you like, including your own rods and tackle, snacks and drinks. All tackle and artificial bait are already included, so your own gear is optional. Let us know about anything bulky when you book so your captain can plan space on the boat.
