Fish gigging questions

How is fish gigging different from a fishing trip?

Fish gigging uses a gig instead of a rod and reel, and it happens at night. It's a dedicated four-hour private trip with a USCG-licensed captain and all the equipment included, from $1,000 for the first two guests. If you'd rather cast a line for bass, book our half-day or full-day airboat fishing trip instead.

Is fish gigging done during the day or at night?

At night. Fish gigging trips run after dark, and since every tour is fully customizable, you choose the start time that works for your group. The trip lasts four hours on the airboat with your USCG-licensed captain, and all equipment is included. Call (305) 766-1929 with your preferred date and we'll confirm the start time and meeting instructions.

How much is fish gigging for a group of four?

$1,200. The trip is from $1,000 for the first two guests and $100 for each additional guest, so four guests are $1,000 + $100 + $100. Your USCG-licensed captain and all gigging equipment are included for the full four hours. Private transport is $400 round trip for up to 13 guests, with a minimum of 4 guests and a tour of at least 1.5 hours.

Can kids and first-timers come fish gigging?

Yes. Kids 5 and under ride free, and there's no age limit. Our ear protection fits all sizes. Tell us when you book if anyone is new to gigging, and your USCG-licensed captain will explain what to expect before you start. Bring a light layer and bug spray for the night air, plus a case or bag to keep your phone dry.
