Is a 1-hour airboat tour enough?

For a first taste, yes. One hour gives you the ride, the scenery and a good look around with your captain. If wildlife or photos are a priority, 1.5 or 2 hours gives you more time to find animals and stop for them. One reviewer called her 2 hours "super worth it" and said she'd book longer next time.

What is the airboat ride actually like?

Fast, open-air and loud, in a good way. A big fan on the back pushes the boat across shallow water and sawgrass, so the engine is noisy and we give everyone ear protection that fits all sizes. Your captain slows down or stops to point out wildlife and answer questions. Keep hats and phones secured.

What might we see on a daytime tour?

Alligators, wading birds such as herons and egrets, turtles and wide views of the River of Grass. Your captain knows where animals tend to be and will point out things you'd miss. What you see changes with weather, water levels and season, and the dry season, roughly December to April, often concentrates wildlife.

Can we go longer than 2.5 hours in the daytime?
