Alligators and wetland wildlife
Alligators are a highlight for many visitors. Look across the water and along the edges of the marsh as your captain helps you observe the landscape. Turtles and other reptiles may also be seen.
Birdwatching from the water
Wading birds such as herons and egrets are part of the Everglades experience. Ask your captain about the birds you see, and bring binoculars if you enjoy looking at details from a distance.
The seasons change the experience
The Everglades typically has a dry season from December through April and a wet season from May through November. Rising water in the wet season can spread wildlife across a larger area.
