When planning an Everglades airboat tour, the calendar is only part of the picture. Ask about conditions for your actual date. Water levels and weather can affect the route and the outing available to your group.
Dry season and wet season: a starting point
The National Park Service describes a generally drier winter and spring, and a wetter period from May through November. The timing varies between years. Summer visitors should plan for heat, humidity and possible thunderstorms; winter visitors can still encounter insects and changing weather. Rain forecasts and your Airboat Adventures booking
A rainy forecast does not automatically cancel your reservation. Contact our team with your booking name, date and departure time if you are unsure whether to travel to the meeting point. We assess the actual conditions for the trip; this guide is not a live operating notice.
Keep your booking confirmation and our phone number available. Protect electronics in a suitable bag and use the clothing and packing checklist when preparing for outdoor conditions. Tell us about any fixed flight, cruise or other travel deadline before reserving.
Weather cancellations versus a change of plans
Weather cancellations receive a full refund. For guest-requested cancellations, cancel at least 48 hours before your tour for a full refund; cancellations within 48 hours are non-refundable, with exceptions at our discretion. A forecast alone does not establish that the operator has cancelled your trip. Call 305-766-1929 to discuss your departure and read our booking and cancellation terms before changing your plans.

- What route or departure time is appropriate? Explain whether your priority is sightseeing, photography or a specialized adventure.

Set realistic wildlife expectations
NPS notes that animals can spread out as wet-season water levels rise, changing the viewing experience. No season guarantees a particular animal. Tell your captain what you hope to see, while leaving room for the wildlife and scenery encountered that day.
