What is an airboat ride like?
An airboat uses a rear-mounted propeller to travel through shallow water. The open-air ride brings you into the wetland landscape, with opportunities to look for wildlife and learn from your captain.
Expect engine noise and exposure to the weather. Ear protection is provided. Follow the captain’s briefing and keep your camera or phone secure.
Choose your duration and departure
A 1-hour daytime tour is an introduction to the River of Grass. Longer outings give you more time on the water. Sunrise, sunset, and night tours each offer a different atmosphere; confirm the exact departure time for your date.
What might you see?
Look for alligators, wading birds, turtles, and other wetland wildlife. Sightings vary with water levels, weather, and animal movement. A sightseeing tour does not include a dedicated python hunt.
