AIRBOAT ADVENTURES EVERGLADES
What to Expect on an Everglades Airboat Ride
A first-time visitor’s introduction to the ride, the scenery, and preparing for your tour.
Before departure
Arrive 15 minutes early at your confirmed meeting point. Tell your captain about any questions or needs before boarding, and listen to the safety briefing. Ear protection is provided for the ride.
On the water
An airboat outing combines travel through shallow wetlands with opportunities to observe the landscape and wildlife. The route and pace depend on conditions and the tour you have booked.
Bring a secure camera or phone and keep personal items under control. Your captain can help point out wildlife you might otherwise miss; sightings are never guaranteed.
Dress for an outdoor experience
Wear closed-toe shoes and clothing suited to the forecast. Sunscreen, sunglasses, a secure hat, and insect repellent are useful. Bring a light layer when cooler weather is expected.
Choose the right outing
Private daytime tours begin at 1 hour. Sunset, sunrise, and night tours provide other ways to experience the Everglades. If you’re interested in fishing or a hunt, arrange that specific experience when booking.
