We understand that if you have never been to the Everglades, you might be confused about what to bring and what should I wear to the Everglades. Don’t worry, we’ve got you.
What Not to Wear
Florida goes through many seasons, but you can’t let this stop you from going there. So, we will be telling you about the four seasons and what perfectly suits you accordingly, and what you should wear to the Everglades.
Spring
If you are going during the springtime, the temperature begins to climb during this season going from mid to high 80s. And, this leads to most people wearing shorts and tank tops. However, don’t forget about the fast speed of the ride. With its speed, you are likely to experience heavy winds, leading to a chilly temperature. So, for that reason, it is better if you keep a jacket with you. Moreover, the jacket can come in handy and you can take it on or off whenever you feel like it.
Summer
The temperatures average around the low 90s each day during summer. Around mid-May, the days will feel long and it will be hot. So, the only relief you can feel during this season is the occasional summer breeze and thunderstorms, if you are lucky. With this hot temperature, you need to keep yourself cool and ventilated during the airboat ride in Everglades. So, a tank top and shorts aren’t a bad idea. Similarly, feeling hot can ruin the ride, making you feel nauseous, fatigued, and sweaty. The weather can be unpredictable during this season, so it’s better you wear sneakers, in any case of light rain, causing a muddy landscape. Additionally, keep a jacket in case of thunderstorms.
Fall
After the Everglades airboat ride, you will be visiting Gator Park afterward. So, as the temperature in Fall goes from very hot to hot, you might find yourself in a confused state as to what to wear now. We would suggest that you wear jeans to cover up your lower body well, and you can go with a short-sleeved shirt or a long-sleeved one, up to you. Similarly, this way you wont too hot or cold and in any case of rain you can keep a jacket with you. You will be looking fashionably fabulous and ready for the ride.
Winters
The coldest times in Florida are typically January and maybe the first week of February. So, while you are on the airboat ride, the sun will be out and it will keep you warm throughout the airboat tour. However, the cold winds that you will feel will definitely give you chills down the spine. So, you need to make sure you are wearing jeans, long-sleeved shirts and definitely keep a jacket with you. And most importantly, a scarf is a must to keep you warm during the airboat ride in winter.
